Ms Mahalia Holmes

Mahalia is a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Hunter Blood Group.

She holds a Bachelor of Nursing and a Specialist Certificate in Acute Care Nursing, and brings over seven years of experience in haematology nursing.

Mahalia has been a registered nurse since 2015, beginning her career at Gold Coast University Hospital in Immunology and Infectious Diseases. In 2018, she relocated to Sydney to join the Haematology Unit at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where she developed a strong clinical interest in stem cell transplantation and CAR T-cell therapies.

In 2021, Mahalia moved to the Haematology Unit at Calvary Mater Newcastle. During this time, she established a strong professional relationship with the haematologists at Hunter Blood Group and joined the team in a permanent capacity in 2025.

Mahalia understands how overwhelming a diagnosis of cancer can be. She is committed to supporting patients and their carers, helping them navigate their treatment journey with clarity, compassion, and confidence.
