In order to provide you with quality health care, it is important that we have accurate and relevant information about you. We collect personal details, contact information, medical history, and treatment records as part of your care. How we use your information

We use your personal and medical information for the following purposes:

  • Billing purposes, including Medicare and HIC compliance
  • Disclosure to your treating doctors and specialists outside the practice
  • Disclosure to other doctors within the practice for leave coverage, after-hours care, and quality assurance
  • Disclosure to hospital staff where you are receiving treatment

AI medical scribes

Some of our haematologists may use AI-assisted medical scribes to transcribe consultation notes. If an AI scribe is used during your consultation:

  • Your explicit permission will be sought before the consultation begins
  • The scribe does not store audio recordings or personally identifiable information
  • No data processing occurs outside Australia
  • Transcripts are not used for AI training

Our reception staff can provide additional information about this technology.
