Hunter Blood Group is a private specialist haematology practice in Newcastle West. An out-of-pocket gap applies for outpatient consultations after Medicare rebates — typically $100 to $250 for a first consultation and $50 to $100 for follow-ups, depending on the haematologist and consultation length. There is no gap from the haematologist for inpatient or hospital-based treatments. Afterpay is available for all infusion services.
